Biography B Brent Atwater, American: 1947- is an artist, painter, visionary, healer, author and philanthropist. She is an art medicine pioneer in the USA by scientifically documenting the healing energy, diagnostic abilities and healing benefits of her author health and healing art- Paintings That Heal™, and Healing Art for Children.™. She is a peer reviewed and respected, documented and published international medical intuitive and distant energy healer who collaborates and works with the worlds leading doctors, researchers and medical facilities. Brent is one of the contemporary American artists/ painters that is bringing forth a new cultural renaissance by blending her classical artistic training with spirituality and energy merged and infused into paintings. Having successfully licensed her artwork for 30+ years, Brent continues to spend her time traveling the world seeking inspiration for her next series of paintings that embrace varied and diverse subjects. Her heart and soul journeys nourish and create her spiritual and visionary work. She intuitively and clairvoyantly narrates and documents life’s affects and effects on and about her subjects. Her brush strokes, painterly styles and color palettes are her subject's emotional vocabulary; broad, bold and explosive, tender, sensitive and genteel, heartfelt and nourishing, mischievous giggles and spontaneous, passionate, vital and intense. Brent's award winning art compels and seduces your emotions into a palpable experience with her subject matter; sometimes beautiful or fragile, at times haunting or humorous with attitude, most times healing, inspiring or profound, and always thought provoking! Her paintings mirror the spirit and soul of her subjects, creating intimacy, personal awareness, and shared experiences within each viewer. The enticing energy and evocative coloration of her paintings make Brent's diversified styles highly sought after by world class establishments, patrons and collectors around the globe. Through the 80’s and 90’s B Brent Atwater was a highly licensed, collected, exhibited, televised, and widely sold American photo-realistic, and impressionistic artist. As a child, she was in the pioneer educational program NC Gifted Students (1-12). At age 16, she was in the pioneer NC Governor's School for the Gifted in Art, and the North Carolina Museum of Art chose one of her paintings for their permanent collection. "PBS" did a TV program on her artwork, and she has been featured on TV's "PM Magazine" in a national special, on "Crook and Chase" & interviewed on numerous TV and radio shows. Her work has been in many major national magazines ("W", "Town & Country", "Robb Report", (et al) and newspapers. Her artwork and designs for Shaw rugs, FS Schumacher, Waverly, Neiman Marcus, Orvis, Domestications, Pot Pourri, USGA, Horchow, JC Penney's, etc, are seen in many national catalogues and retail stores. She graduated with an Art Degree from Hollins University in Roanoke VA, and received her NC teaching certification. Brent attended Wake Forest University Law School and is a non denominational ordained minister. She was listed in Who's Who of Law Students, Who's Who of American Women, and Who's Who in American Art, and on President Clinton's Mental Health Council. As a philanthropist, Brent founded the Just Plain Love™ Charitable Trust to benefit Children and other worthwhile causes. She authors and illustrates her Just Plain Love™ Children's Books, that turn negatives of illness into positives! Brent's motto: "I want my art to DO good as well as BE good! " |
